Short Book Review: -Sneak Peek- Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

Title: Rebel of the Sands

Author: Alwyn Hamilton

Publication Date: March 8th, 2016

Format: Sneak Peek ARC

She’s more gunpowder than girl—and the fate of the desert lies in her hands.

Mortals rule the desert nation of Miraji, but mystical beasts still roam the wild and barren wastes, and rumor has it that somewhere, djinni still practice their magic. But there’s nothing mystical or magical about Dustwalk, the dead-end town that Amani can’t wait to escape from.

Destined to wind up “wed or dead,” Amani’s counting on her sharpshooting skills to get her out of Dustwalk. When she meets Jin, a mysterious and devastatingly handsome foreigner, in a shooting contest, she figures he’s the perfect escape route. But in all her years spent dreaming of leaving home, she never imagined she’d gallop away on a mythical horse, fleeing the murderous Sultan’s army, with a fugitive who’s wanted for treason. And she’d never have predicted she’d fall in love with him…or that he’d help her unlock the powerful truth of who she really is.

**I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you very much! This doesn’t affect the review in any way. My opinions, as always, are my own.**

Unfortunately, this sneak peek only had two chapters so I can’t really add a starred rating. But I’ll tell you this, I’m even more excited about the book now!!

Amani is SUCH a kickass character. She can shoot like nobody’s business and she has so much sass I can almost taste the bantering she’ll have with the foreigner. We met the foreigner and I’m so glad that it wasn’t insta-love. MAJOR POINTS HERE!! I’m soooo excited for the mythical horse and all the other shebang and Penguin can I have the book now? March 2016 is too far away!!!

This very short sneak peek also gave me nothing to complain about and I hope that the rest of the book doesn’t either!

OMG, I just finished this and reviewed it today and it’s SO GOOD. SOOOO GOOOD. The first two chapters set the scene so well for the rest of the book and it just doesn’t stop — and it’s AWESSSOMEEEEEEEEEEE!
