Summer of Supernovas
Release Date: May 10th 2016
As the daughter of an expert astrologer, Wilamena Carlisle knows that the truth lies within the stars. So when she discovers a rare planetary alignment, she is forced to tackle her worst astrological fear – The Fifth House of Relationships and Love. But Wil must decide whether a cosmically doomed love is worth rejecting her mother’s legacy, when she falls for a sensitive guitar player hailing from the wrong side of the chart.
Debut author Darcy Woods explores love in all its complexities and how to best honor the loved ones who have passed before us, in a novel packed with both humor and heart.
I’m not a believer in astrology. I don’t believe in zodiac signs or that the month that you’re born in affects your personality. My astronomy professor drilled in me that “Astrology is a pseudoscience” and being an engineer (or scientist as in his case), I consider myself a person of science. However, I’m very interested in this book. Not to try to prove astrologers are wrong or anything like that—I tend to take contemporaries lightly and anyway, to each his own; I can’t force my point of view on anyway and I don’t want to—but because the book sounds cutesy and adorable and fluffy and, simply because I want to read it.
