**I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you very much! This doesn’t affect the review in any way. My opinions, as always, are my own.**

I love adult romance books; the men are dreamy and the women are sassy and who I aspire to be. They’re also what I call The Fluff embodied so naturally, the minute I saw Layne’s latest book on netgalley, I requested it in a flash and when my request got accepted I downloaded the book in a flash too.

I really liked Seth. I found him to be a big teddy bear instead of the coldhearted business man he was pretending to be and when Brooke just constantly hurt him over and over again I was so mad I wanted to throttle someone. I’m a firm believer that hurting someone because another person wronged you is not acceptable so you can imagine why I didn’t like Brooke all that much. The rating would have been a solid 4 stars if only I had liked her.

The side characters were awesome and I loved seeing the friendship between Brooke and her coworkers bloom. Every woman needs a league of girlfriends to have her back and I was so glad that this book portrayed that well. Seth also had his own sidekicks and their interactions made me laugh quite a bit.

All in all this was a fun book and I’m looking forward to reading the other books in the series.
