Title: Sleepless in Manhattan

Author: Sarah Morgan

Publication Date: May 31st, 2016

Format: E-book

Cool, calm and competent, events planner Paige Walker loves a challenge. After a childhood spent in and out of hospitals, she’s now determined to prove herself—and where better to take the world by storm than in the exhilarating bustle of Manhattan? But when Paige is let go from the job she loves, she must face her biggest challenge of all—going it alone.

Except launching her own events company is nothing compared to hiding her outrageous crush on Jake Romano—her brother’s best friend, New York’s most in-demand date, and the only man to break her heart. When Jake offers Paige’s fledgling company a big chance, their still-sizzling chemistry starts giving her sleepless nights. But can she convince the man who trusts no one to take a chance on forever?

4 stars and a half

Sometimes a book requires a long review to properly explain your feelings towards it. This isn’t one of them. N but because there are no conflicts in my feelings. I adored it, short and simple. The characters were so well built, the atmosphere so real, the dialogue so witty. Paige is a character that will push her way into your heart with her kind smile and caring, loyal nature and Jake will make you melt into a puddle of goo (and possibly cause your ovaries to explode 😉 ). Eva and Frankie made this book so much more enjoyable and I loved the positive representation of female friendship. It made my heart giddy with joy.

Only complaint? I felt like it was resolved  bit too quickly. But then again, it’s an adult book so the misunderstandings and the lack-of-communication induced problems that are so common in ya are absent here so maybe that’s why.

Sarah Morgan is officially on my auto-buy authors list and yesterday I was lucky enough to receive a review copy of the second book in this fantabulous series. I need to go wear my swimsuit; I’ll be diving into it tonight. #sleepisfortheweak
