Aaaaah the final book in the From Manhattan with Love series! I can’t believe how fast I sped through these books (see reviews for books one and two). Morgan has definitely earned herself a spot on my auto-buy authors list and I’m so excited to get my hands on whatever new book she puts out next.
I really, really wanted this one to be my favorite in the series; Eva is just the sweetest person ever and ever since the beginning (I’ll admit) I liked her the most of the three. But shockingly, Frankie’s book —that’s book two— ended up being my absolute favorite. Not that this one was bad, because it wasn’t, hellooo I gave it four stars, but it just didn’t live up to my ridiculously high expectations. I now realize that that would have been really hard but I was still disappointed.
In the beginning, I didn’t like Lucas all that much. I thought he was rude and mean to Eva for no right reason but then he sorta found his way through my defenses and I fell hard. Hmm now that I think about it, I like when that happens. It would’ve been the absolute worse if I continued to dislike him. I also wanted to see more of Paige and Frankie but I after flipping it in my head a bit, I see why they didn’t appear that much. Eva needed to stop acting like she was okay to let her guard down and that wouldn’t have happened if she was around people whom she felt she had to act like she was perfectly alright in front of.
All in all, this is one definitely sweet, definitely sexy, definitely swoony series and I recommend it to all adult contemporary romance readers.
