The first audiobook I ever listened to was The Night Circus and I ended up returning it because I didn’t like the narrator.

The second one I decided to try was Pride and Prejudice but I stopped listening to that one too because I found it too boring for my liking. Wait no, I actually fell asleep while listening to it on my flight and then I said,’ yeah, no it’s not working out.’

Then I picked up These Broken Stars and I fell in love. Since then I’ve listened to quite the number of audiobooks and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon.

I used to be an Audible member but since they’re an Amazon company, they don’t have the right to sell a lot of the books I want in my location, so sadly I cancelled my membership and had to resort to buying them at a really expensive price off other websites.

If all this sounds like something that you’ve passed/been passing through, if you love audiobooks but Audible’s books aren’t available in your country, then maybe this will interest you.

eStories is an audiobook service, that like Audible, allows customers to purchase audiobooks and listen to them. Now before you roll your eyes and scoff because oh this is another audiobook membership program, hear me out for a bit. Here’s what makes eStories special,

  • You can choose from over 80,000 bestselling titles and new releases.
  • For a limited time you can get your first audiobook for free!
  • eStories is the most affordable service out there at $11.95/month vs Audible’s $14.95.
  • You don’t need a special app to listen to the audiobook. The audiobook is downloaded as an audio file and you can transfer it to whatever device you listen to audiobooks on and use whatever app. Yes, it works with ALL devices from ALL brands.
  • The account that you make can be connected to up to 10 devices so you can start on one device and pick up listening on another.
  • The unlimited cloud storage lets you transfer and upload your existing library to your new eStories account.

If this is something that interests you, and since I’m part of the eStories blogging team, you can follow my link here and receive your first audiobook for free!
